RUPI is a personal finance management application that helps you:

• Track your bank accounts, investments, and transactions
• Import and categorize bank statements
• Manage properties, vehicles, and other assets
• Get AI-powered financial insights and assistance
• Create budgets and track your spending

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the Service
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Financial Information Disclaimer

The information provided by RUPI, including AI-generated insights, is for informational purposes only and should not be considered financial advice. We recommend consulting with a qualified financial advisor before making financial decisions.

• We do not guarantee the accuracy of parsed bank statement data
• AI responses may contain errors or inaccuracies
• You are responsible for verifying all financial information
• We are not liable for financial decisions based on our Service

6. Intellectual Property

• RUPI's core application (RUPI v3) is open source under the AGPLv3 license
• The AI engine and bank statement parsers are proprietary
• The RUPI name and logo are trademarks
• Your data remains yours; we claim no ownership

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for:

• Scheduled maintenance (we'll notify in advance when possible)
• Emergency repairs
• Factors beyond our control

8. Subscription & Payments

If you subscribe to a paid plan:

• Payments are processed securely through third-party providers
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase
• We may change pricing with 30 days notice

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Abuse the Service or its resources

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RUPI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Financial losses resulting from use of the Service
• Errors in bank statement parsing or AI responses

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold RUPI harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
